Volunteering at Horsenden is a rewarding and beneficial experience. Be part of a small, friendly team that will support you in whichever role you choose. Throughout the year you will find a variety of volunteer opportunities – whatever your skill level or ability.
Outdoors, getting muddy and hanging out with a bunch of like-minded people helping wildlife, what a great way of spending the weekend! I strongly recommend it.

Volunteering at Horsenden Farm kept my sanity during a challenging year. There, I met extraordinary people doing amazing work. It also helped me to reconnect to Nature, which made all the difference.

We provide all tools and equipment but, as most of the work is outdoors, you will need suitable outdoor clothing.
Currently there are regular weekly volunteering sessions on Mondays 10am – 2pm for veg growing, and Wednesdays 10am – 2pm for general farm and hill conservation and site work. From October – April there are regular Wednesday and alternating Saturday/Sunday sessions of hedgelaying.
Currently volunteering is only open to adults, but stay tuned for future young people’s volunteering opportunities.
