Horsenden’s Festival of Nature

27 August @ 11:00 am - 6:00 pm

Join us for the very first Horsenden Festival of Nature!

Celebrate, discover and learn about the wonderful abundance of nature at Horsenden, and the fantastic community that cares for and enjoys this  wonderful green space.

Horsenden has abundant habitats including meadows, ancient woodland, ponds, wetlands, hedgerows, and even a veteran orchard. Hundreds of  species of plants and animals can be found here, from the majestic oaks that were planted as land markers many hundreds of years ago, to the wildflowers such as dyers’ greenweed, a lovely yellow wild flower that’s rare in London but can be found where the cows graze, to harvest mice that were introduced here in 2020 and have settled in successfully, and many more.
The festival HQ is at Horsenden farm, where there’ll be stalls and stands with conservation and volunteering groups that work on and with the local land and people,  nature based activities for the whole family plus talks and excursions to the meadows, orchards and woodlands with our resident experts and volunteers.
Stall holders include: Citizen Zoo, London Wildlife Trust, Ealing Wildlife Group, Friends of Horsenden Hill, and many more to be confirmed.
There’ll be live music, beer from Perivale Brewery, pizza from the Horsenden Loaf, and home baked cakes and teas in the hayloft.
(If you would like to volunteer at the event, please email friendsofhorsendenhill@gmail.com)
