Friends of Horsenden Hill

Friends of Horsenden Hill is a group of people who love and appreciate Horsenden Hill and want others to enjoy and celebrate this unique and wonderful location with us. The Friends work alongside Ranger Jon Staples to support his work on Horsenden Hill and we undertake activities to make Horsenden Farm an inviting and pleasant destination.

Our activities include community events such as Apple Days, Woodland Craft Fayres, Guided Walks and a Wassail where we bless the trees and sing for a good harvest.
The Friends support the ranger with conservation work, hedge-laying, woodland and orchard management and we raise funds to bring Luna – the working horse – to Horsenden once a year to help with woodland management.
The Friends raise funds for transforming spaces such as the refurbishment of the Hayloft, creation of the Horsenden Sensory Garden and the picnic tables in the Courtyard.
The Friends organise regular community volunteer days, follow us on Facebook so you don’t miss out.
We also make and sell our own apple juice!

The Friends committee is:
Martin Smith – Chair
Deborah Worsley – Vice Chair
Sarah Hadland – Treasurer
Gretchen Swisher – Secretary
Plus: Pauline Shakespeare; Rina Gioia-Howard, Emma Woods, Justin Luria, Lynda O’Hare.

“Horsenden Farm is a gorgeous hidden gem, so peaceful and relaxing. Who would think you are only 10 miles from Central London! I’d like to thank all the people there for making my day on the farm so special.”
